  2. CHRISTMAS I USER'S GUIDE
  3. -------------------------
  4. All documentation assumes you have a basic understanding of how to use your 
  5. computer and the programs you have purchased for it.
  6.  
  7. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  8. -------------------
  9. Christmas I images require application(s) that are compatible with EPS and TIF 
  10. file formats.  All EPS images are saved using Adobe Illustrator.  All TIF images 
  11. are saved with Adobe Photoshop. Any other hardware or software requirements will 
  12. be based primarily on the applications you use and the type of final output you 
  13. plan to produce.

  15. The illustrations in this collection are each provided in 2 file formats. They 
  16. are differentiated by file name as follows:
  17.  
  18. EPS FILES:
  19.     Illustrator 3.0, CMYK, naming convention 001CHR01.EPS
  20.  
  21. TIF FILES:
  22.     Photoshop 2.5, CMYK, naming convention 001CHR01.TIF
  23.  
  24. USING THE ARTWORK ON THIS CD
  25. -----------------------------
  26. PAGE LAYOUT PROGRAMS:
  27. Open your page layout program. Create a new document and PLACE the EPS or TIF 
  28. files as you would any other images. The following page layout programs are 
  29. compatible with EPS and TIF file formats:
  30.     Adobe PageMaker
  31.     QuarkXPress
  32.  
  33. DRAW PROGRAMS:
  34.      To edit the EPS files, open or import (Corel Draw!) them with your draw 
  35. program.
  36. EPS files: 
  37.     Adobe Illustrator
  38.     Macromedia Freehand        
  39.     Corel DRAW!
  40.  
  41. PAINT PROGRAMS:
  42. The TIF files can be manipulated like any other bitmap images in the following 
  43. programs:
  44.     Adobe Photoshop
  45.     Corel Photo-Paint
  46.  
  47. If your application was not listed above, please refer to your manual for 
  48. compatibility.
